    Father son trip

I took my son to the campground (Bolar mountain recreation area. Or Lake Moomaw) My parents took my sister and I growing up for a week every summer.

Lots of people were impressed with the hammocks and hammock stands many positive conversations and comments.

We spent 4 days there and the weather was perfect. It rained early Monday morning. But it was a gentle rain that stopped before we got up.

I don't understand people having to run lanterns while sitting around the fire or people running generators while camping.

Temps were super nice and the lake helped when the heat rose.

Silverpalm2x, nothing better than shared lifetime memories. Y’all were high and dry in your hammocks.
I don’t get the bright lanterns and generators when you have a campfire.
    To each his own...

    Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful! Tough to beat Appalachian lakes. Looks like y'all had a great hang on those hard-packed tent pads.

My boy is 4 and I look forward to trips like this. Thanks for the pics.

Add drones to the list of weird stuff people do when camping.
