Hi folks! Thanks for the add. The forums have been super useful so far as I am just getting starting on my hammock camping journey. I have been actively camping most my life but never did any hanging (other than a lounging hammock). This year I am starting to get into more backcountry camping and bought myself a Hennessy Ultralight Backpacker that I will be testing out this weekend! I have found some suggestions here and there, but does anyone have suggestions for great hanging spots around southern Ontario? Car camping spots are great of course, as well as backcountry.

Also, I have seen the EGL group seems to do some group hangs, looking forward to seeing when the next one is!

Howdy, and welcome to HF. Yes, indeed, a lot of great information can be gleaned from this forum.

EGL probably has the most experience re good hanging spots in Southern Ont. My personal favourite is Algonquin Park. The sites are generally large, and facilities are good (although I understand currently the showers, & laundries are closed while bathrooms are limited to single stalls). A nice thing is when booking online you can see site photographs to judge it's hangability.
