    11x6 hex tarp

I was playing with some math. I know 70 inches is not very wide. but with 45 degree end cuts you lose 2 yards of fabric. This gets it close in size to an asymmetrical 10x5. Both run close to 5 square yards fabric. you will have better coverage with the 11x6. I can't think of any reason not to try it.

I wanted to hear what you all are thinking?

That would be a tiny tarp! That's almost as small as the 10'6" x 6'4" ENO ProFly tarp, which is about as close as you can get to using no tarp at all. First time rain blows in under the side, I don't think you'll be amused.

I'll take that under advisement, but I think I'll make one anyway. RBR has some extra wide 1.1 on clearance.

Can't hurt to try... more of a "just in case" tarp like my little SLD asym.

Given that you'll cut off fabric on each end, you can add the remnants to the bottom edge for extra coverage if you don't like the miniscule coverage

It's not enough, but if I order 2 more yards...

Hmmm, If my seams are at the edge I can add tie outs easily. I could make a tarp with walls and possibly doors too. Interesting beast to have in winter

I finished the 6x11. The coverage seems to be adequate. If the rain was driven hard it might be a problem.

The hammock is an 11 foot HyperD also DIY. In fact the whole kit is DIY. (except for the stakes, I didn't make them) total weight including stakes is 1lb 11oz

    Fun project!

For mild weather it should serve you well.
