Hello from a Florida Bike packer

Hi all, always used a tent for my bike packing trips and after stumbling on Shugs videos I'm now thinking of trying a hammock. I have a bunch of gift cards for Cabelas/bass Pro and
thinking of trying one of there ENO's or Hennessy's (out of stock at the moment) to see how i like it.
Been trying to soak up as much info as I can on this great forum.

Greetings from a N FL. trans continental cyclist. Alas, I did it before I discovered hammocks. Check out some of the cottage vendors products. I think most ENO's are rather short. You want something in the 10-11 foot range.

Welcome from a fellow Gainesville resident. Not much of a biker but if you want to try a few cottage hammocks out let me know. I have a warbonnet, a dream, and a Dutch chameleon. As well as an Amok dramour. You can't get them at bass pro but it will help you decide if it's for you. As was stated there's nothing wrong with the Enos, but they are a little short for a comfortable lay.

Not sure I'd consider Hennessy or ENO for my first hammock. Neither one is very comfortable, in my opinion.

There are many top quality vendors mentioned on Hammock Forums.
    Study up, compare and contrast...
For your comfort, choose a hammock 11x5 or slightly larger
Maybe 11 feet long by five and a half feet wide.
It’s good to know if you are left lay or right lay.
Or you can get a hammock that is symmetrical lay and will be good
for both left and right lay.
Left lay is when your feet go towards the left side of hammock when you are on a diagonal.
Right lay is when your feet go towards right side of hammock when you are on a diagonal.

Your vendors can help you narrow down your many choices
Might be good to attend two local group hammock hangs to see many rigs first hand.
Lots of great hammock campers in your area. Their hangs are posted on Hammock Forums regularly!

Thanks all for the welcome and great advice, thank you Scott_Adkins for the offer to try out a few of your hammocks. I may take you up on that once I figure out which way to go, now I'm kind of leaning towards a Warbonnet as they seem quite popular. Again, thanks everyone.

You can pm me on here if you ever want to set up a time. I love my war bonnets, they are my go to. Can't go wrong with them.
