I'm thinking of getting a new Amok Draumr. Do any of you have any feedback about this. I'm not after the 3.0. but the current model with the redesigned footbox.

The new footbox is nice.
Really open.

Ha, ha, yeah, I want one as well, but if I get one my wife will want it, so I would have to buy two. That’s a lot of $$$$, when we already have a small fortune invested in hanging gear. Then too, I would end up getting a pair of Tensa 4’s, more dollars. If I but it will be the new model.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
It is as or more comfortable than any other hammock I've been in yet, but I am still getting used to being up in the air after a lifetime of tent camping. I like mine, although I haven't achieved the perfect setup and night's sleep yet.
Oooh, shiney! What does THIS button do?
I’m thinking the same thing OP! My only worry is that it’s a bit heavy, especially with pad options that provide proper support also being quite heavy.
Considering the crosshammock as an alternative with much less weight, more pad options, but less amenities (recline mode, removable bug net)
Hi Shug; do you think it needs a topquilt or just a sleeping bag? I've used sleeping bags in my Blackbird, but wind up sleeping on the zipper since I tend to roll over onto my side a lot. I've got a Thermarest top quilt with no zipper, but it's a warm weather quilt. Thanks for your thoughts-I appreciate your expertise in this!
go with the xl if you are over 5'10", and the old version of the bug net seems more robust
