Somehow I thought seam seal compound would be included when buying the tarp. Apparently not?

It depends on where you bought it. Most cottage vendors here in the US send it with the tarp unless you want to pay a little more for them to seal it for you. If it was tape sealed at the source, they typically won't include any.
Oooh, shiney! What does THIS button do?
Don’t use that garbage! Get Permatex flowable silicone, works better.

Per the Warbonnet site:
Included:
2 ridgeline tieouts
4 main ground corner tieouts
4 door tieouts
4 panel pull tieouts
Stuff sac
7g tube of silicone for seam sealing
(2) Micro Carabiners for door management
So, if they didn't include the tube, I would contact them or do what Rex recommends. Good luck.
If you bought a Warbonnet tarp without panel pulls, there will be no silicone, because only the panel pulls need sealing. If you have panel pulls but didn't get any silicone, contact Warbonnet. Oversights happen.
Im another who recently purchased a WB tarp in the Labor Day sale (spec’ed with all the extras) that arrived without a tube of sealer, I emailed Brandon and he explained that it’s was an oversight. But as I’m across the pond it’s unrealistic for me to wait 5 weeks again for a replacement so I mixed up some 50/50 silicone and white spirit and did it all
My new superfly came with a tube of silicone as well. Cheap to pick up anywhere if they forgot to include it.
