My husband helped me build a TurtleDog stand from 6.5’ 2x2s last weekend. It works great for my Chameleon. However, it feels a bit tippy to me. I am planning to lengthen my spread limiters to allow the legs to be placed at more of an angle. I know the more vertical the legs are, the better they will be at handling the downward force. But of course, the legs must be angled for balance.
I am not an engineer. Has anyone done the math to establish what is the best angle for the legs to balance and handle the weight?
I can use trial and error, but thought it could not hurt to ask for advice.
