I would use Kam snaps and reinforce them with a small bit of grosgrain or a bit thicker material.

In the centre, a loop and toggle to go over your centre pole.
Each end, at the top, a loop that fits over the tip of the trekking pole and a small pocket to secure the bottom corners under the poles.
