    Tato stand preferences

I just got a Tato stand and am quite happy to be able to hang in the house and yard. I was wondering what tweaks and preferences people have.

I’m not loving the carabiners as they’re pretty narrow. I’ll probably replace them with bigger ones. I was also considering a guyline quick release to take them off before storing.

What suspension setups are people using with the Tato stand?

What are you doing for connecting the tarp? Any slick hardware you like?

Do you leave suspension and guy lines attached during storage?

    Any other mods or tips?

    For.suspension i.am.using 2- 18" long daisy chains I got from dutch
I brought 3 feet and cut it in half
For the tarp I use the tarp extension poles tato provides
    They work amazing
My tarp is a superfly and my guy lines stay attached
For the ridgeline I use 12' of flash it with dutch stingers
    I love them
I also carry stakes with lines for tie outs
I use shock cord to hold doors open and closed
    Works amazing

Suspension = whoopies that came from Warbonnet with my Blackbird XLC
Tarp connection = Tato tarp connectors on a zing-it CRL for a Superfly tarp
Tato stand guylines = stay attached during storage

I pretty much use the stand "as is" with low motivation to change anything. I agree that the biners could be larger, but...low motivation. I am highly motivated to use the stand wherever it makes sense: decks, hotels, porches, backyards, campsites such that I haven't slept in a bed in 3-4 years even when traveling.

I am thinking about buying some daisy chain webbing from dutch and some binders and use them on the stands all the time. I think it might work and make life easier.

Once I established the right length suspension with a lash up of carabiners, dog bones and continuous loops, I just made two custom length soft shackles

I have a set for my WBBBXLC and my Dutch Chameleon

Update: I bought biners to stay with the stand and some of the daisy chain to clip on from Dutch. I might have to experiment with the stand to make sure my plan works this weekend.

I just saw this. Is this the setup you still use? Any pictures?

I thought Tato stands were out of stock - then I noticed the first post was back in July 2020. Dutchware still lists it as Out-of-stock. Is it available elsewhere - besides in pieces at your local hardware/lumber store
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

Dutchware is the only place I know to get the Tato. Before I got mine I watched it go in and out of stock a couple times before finally buying. I have no idea what the situation is, but sign up for email notification if you really want one.
