    Continuous ridgeline with snake skins

This has probably been asked and answered but I’m not finding it with a quick search...

Is it really doable to use snake skins with a continuous ridgeline for a tarp set up?
I’m picturing a few different ways of doing but they don’t seem to be as efficient as the split ridgeline with skins....
    Ideas... experience... suggestions please

Yes, it's doable - the only setup I use. I'm not a fan of the split ridgeline.

I have used both, two piece first. I bought the one piece from Hammock Gear, it’s great. Much easier ( for me anyway) and I will never go back.

Yes.. single or double snake skins will work fine with a CRL or a single RL. Either will also work with split RLs.

I have gone back and forth with split vs single RL and I can't get a rhythm with a CRL or single RL

Thanks guys. I’m checking out the other threads. One of my concerns is stringing the CRL with the weight of the tarp (Especially wet) and getting it tight. Seems it might be a bit slower but keeps all the tarp parts together.
I’ll probably experiment with longer prusiksto give the skins a place to. Good stuff!

I don't think you'll have issue with accommodating the skins regardless of the setup.. they crush down to nothing. Although if your adjustment point is inside the skin it can add a bit to the fiddle factor.
