    Dutchware wasp wont hold

I am using Dutchware wasp on my ridgeline. I have them threaded into non-reflective gray zing-it. When I start to tighten down the ridgeline the wasp slips as I pull. I have to pinch down hard with my fingers to get it to hold. Once I wrap it around the front then pin it into the antenna it seems to stay but I haven't done anything more than practice in the backyard. I am concerned about the 'what if's' for my first hammock trip later next week. I have the little card Dutch sends and there isn't any rocket science in setting these up. Is it the cord I am using? Is this normal? I am not using a continuous ridgeline.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I just answered my question via youtube. It turns out I wast locking the wasp in by wrapping a loop around the tail before I started cynching down.

There is about a 90% chance when I setup my tarp that I start cranking on the wasp to tighten up and it begins to slip because I forgot to lock it. Just one of those steps that always slips my mind no matter how much I do it.

Once you get it just right those little wasps are really something else. I love using them and they look cool too.

Is there a functional difference between wasps and flyz? Looked like they did the same thing to me, and the flyz were lighter so I went that route.

Because the holes are wider apart on the wasp, it will probably slide easier - a feature, not a bug - on the line to the point where you want to LOCK IT. Of course you can move the Flyz too, but more fiddling. It looks like the flyz was designed to be “fixed” as in attached (via split ring) to the end of the tarp or part of a prusik loop were the loop itself slides to the desire position on the line.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

Yep, I couldn’t get the wasp to stay still, either, this past weekend. I forgot about looping the tail. Thanks for creating this thread.
