Has anyone tried/used a “small” Ti UFA LoopAlien with 7/64” Amsteel?

I've never used the UFA as I don't trust the open design to support my weight. I do have a set of Dynaglide CLs with the small Ti LA's spliced in, that have been used with both Dynaglide & Amsteel leaders.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

If your contemplating hanging a hammock from the open loop UFA, have a look at the difference in load rating of climbing caribiners with the gate closed Vs gate open... Typically 1/3rd to 1/4 of the gate closed ratings, ask your self if the 2gram and a few seconds saving would be a good idea when the closed loop version isn't even officially recommended to use for suspension.
Thanks MikekiM & Singlespeed, not planning to hang from them. Want to build a CRL for a Kelty 16’ Noah tarp strung on a diagonal and I’m not sure the size of the 7/64 will fit/hold in the small Ti UFA Loop Alien.

7/64 is way overkill for a tarp...
The diagonal of a 16 foot Kelty Noah square tarp is 271 inches or 22 ˝ feet.
Now normally I would agree that 7/64” Amsteel might be “overkill”, but at that length and 3 pounds 15 ounces, I really don’t think ZING-IT is up to the task.
Obviously this is not for gram weenies but is to be used while car camping.
FYI, the small Ti UFA LoopAlien works just fine with the 7/64” Amsteel

You might consider Dynaglide, Emma Kites Waxed Spectra or NE Rope Endura 12. All have load ratings that would support your tarp, but are a smaller diameter more suited to the small LA's.

7/64 is overkill but who cares. It’s line that’ll get the job done no differently than paracord that people use, with vastly smaller amounts of stretch.
Here’s 7/64 on an XL, and I’m not sure it’ll work as well on the smaller RCA given the wrap concept but if you have a smaller one, I’d give it a shot.
