    3/4 length underquilt

I am in the market for a 3/4 length underquilt. I was talking privately with a member here on the forum about a Yeti. He ultimately decided he did not want to part with it, which I totally understand. But he also brought up a good point that I am 6 ft. 1 with a long torso and he felt it would be too short. What is a good 3/4 length underquilt for someone who is taller? I will then revise my post in the WTB section.

    Thanks,

    James

The Phoenix that I mentioned in your prior thread is perfect. I'm over 6'1". Another member is buying mine, pending payment, but I can't recommend the Phoenix highly enough.

I'm 6' and get along more than fine with a 45" UQ. In the past I had an even shorter Revolt UQ, also fine.

Although ¾ length is almost full length for me, for many taller people, the ¾ length - with its Bulk/Weight/Cost savings is worth it because there is not so much sense of cold below the knees.

Also, the use of an UQP helps that issue along with other benefits. Often a person will carry a “sit pad” and that pad can go inside the hammock to add a little insulation at the foot end.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

I'm 6'1", avg torso length and the HG Phoenix (55" length) covers my shoulders to over halfway past my knees. I use an inflatable pillow and if the temps drop, a foam sit pad for the footbox.

I'm 6'2" & have a Hammock Gear 3/4 Phoenix & it works very well for me in the field. Like others have said, if it gets too cold, a sit pad works well as insulation when placed in the footbox of your top quilt.

Yep.... 40* Phoenix. I'm 6'2" also and it's great. I was nervous when making the purchase but so glad I did for the weight, cost and volume savings. I've taken it to it's limit in no wind and was very comfortable using a sit pad in foot box. Would recommend a UQP in windy conditions

I too have good things to say about the Phoenix. Harry's customer service is also top notch, HG will take great care of you.
