    My new suspension

I just got and Eldorado and Minifly during the sale to replace my original Blackbird and Mamajamba. Of course I need new suspension. 4 foot Spiderweb from Dutch with Evo loops. 11 plus feet of black reflectix I made into suspension strands going to each hugger. They will go to the Turtle ties on the continuous loops. Comes in at 1.9oz or 54 grams total. I have not tested it yet but I am hopeful. First time splicing line, was fun. Tackle the Mini fly ridgeline and tie outs tomorrow. Hoping to keep that under or at 13oz. I think I will be just over. Everything came from Dutch except Turtle Ties came from Fugal Innovations and Evo Loops came from Myers Tech.

    Congratulations on your new suspension!
It’s fun to choose various components.
I hope the black reflectix has a weight rating that is comparable with 7/64 amsteel.
    Good luck!

Hmm... I hope it isn't this, rated to 400lbs. In the description it mentions for suspension use but at that rating I'd use it for hammock SRL (structural ridge line) only.

In any event, welcome to the rabbit hole, SamyK!

I think he is using Dutch's- 2.8mm, 1.1gm/M, 1500#break strength 'rope' with reflective tracer. I may try some of this myself. Looks like a solid/lite suspension.
