Man, am I ever in a dark place!

All set to order a new Banyan and Bugnet and none available
All because of a zipper shortage
I know it’s not Dutch’s fault, but grrrr!
Anyhow, I’m on the waiting list
Looked at some Utube reviews and decided I can’t live without one

    Please hurry Dutch

A zipper shortage....? That’s an odd one.

That's an interesting item for a shortage. Also, you reminded me that I need to get a pack of Hatch chiles out of the freezer so I can make some cheeseburgers.

They are far from the run of the mill zippers. They are very special patented zippers that I designed and make it so you can interchange the tops and add future products. We are trying to source them in the US and are pretty far along. But honestly we would not be able to produce them right now in any kind of timely manner. We are getting caught up with orders but our stock is completely depleted and we are still a couple weeks out on most sewn goods. I had to pull smaller simple products because we just can't keep up. There is so much interest in the Banyan right now there is no way we could fill the demand while we are at peak season and working on PPE. I am using this time to source the zippers here in the US not only because it helps the damaged US economy but it just makes sense when sourcing anything from overseas is just difficult and supply chains are broken. I am hoping to move all of my zippers to a US company this year. It goes along with my purchase of Clark which uses US materials and sometimes supplies the US military.

It stinks that you’re having to reduce offerings and are behind on orders, but great to hear the Banyan is doing so well. Good luck with finding a US zipper supplier, it’s sounding like a lot of manufacturers are looking to return to the US.

I wasn’t complaining, I know you’re busy with the ppe’s, and we’re all proud of you for that
