[QUOTE=Keep notes of your hangs.. Temp, quilts, hammock (if you have more than one) and what you wore. Useful and interesting info to look back on.[/QUOTE]

This is a great bit of advice, something I am not currently doing but will start on my next hang. Thanks

I am a data geek of sorts... I keep details of each hang, home or on the trail, with date, temp hi/low, quilt, hammock and tarp combo and a short paragraph with clothing details. What I wore, and what I didn't. I also make notes in my LighterPack sheet for each trip. More general type stuff of what worked, what didn't, and what I want to change next trip.. if anything. Also find the star ratings in LighterPack really useful.

You could also use the 12 Nights a Year thread to detail each hang...
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

I think my carpenter's level weighs about a half ounce. The level never lies so the hammock gets hung the same way every time.Everyone has their own way of doing things ya know...Ridgeline tension is also a big indicator of finding your sweet spot=not to tight, not too loose, just right.I like to hang stuff on the ridgeline and too loose is a real bummer.
