    Here's a link to Darth Hanger's 2012 post regarding repurposing Shower Buffers as snake skins, which I use for our "day" hammocks and have found quite effective. While they are bigger than needed, the extra space could be used for furling of your tarp also.

    This is what I do. Cant imagine why you would want to separate it.
