I have tried many but can't seem to get away from dynaglide whoopies with Kelvar tree straps and a continuous loop on the hammock end

different than am steel whoopies? is it smaller diameter ? or harder to splice ?
I used a Dynaglide ucr for a season or two. Check here....
I used Dynaglide and Amsteel for those.
Now it's 2.2 Kevlar with an Evo Loop at the tree and becket to the CL.
Dead easy. I can do it blindfolded, cold, wet and tired. Satisfies the Gram Weenie in me. It's been bullet proof for a bunch of seasons, so I see no reason to change other than for fun. Though I always go back to that setup.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

ENO Helios whoopie style setup, BD Biners in tree straps and hammock connections points, and Amsteel CL’s. Keeping it as simple and flexible as I can for a quick deploy and tear down.
Started with line and rings (Hennessy), moved to webbing, moved to Whoopies, moved to daisy chain (python, Atlas) - this summer I’ll move back to webbing. Whoopies were too much fuss for me, especially in freezing rain. More significant was the extra overhead they added to the required distance between trees. My friend uses my Ridge Runner so I give her the wide trees and I take what I can find. At times I have to hang almost trunk to trunk (yes, tarp can be a challenge).
You might say, “Cougarmeat, “This summer… ?” It’s already near the end of June!” Warm weather comes late in the high desert. And with all the “stay at home” and "trail heads closed”, I’ve been sticking with my tried and true daisy chains for my at home, outside, sleeping.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
Venom UHMWPE tree straps, optional woopie slings and evo loops on my hammock. Lots of options and pretty light.
Dutch beetles and 15’ straps.

8’ tree straps & Whoopies from Dutch. Though I e been pondering the beetle buckles. They look much simpler & faster than my current suspension. I really like my Whoopies....
