PG, it’s a long drive from here to the YATES PLACE, so maybe there’s room to land a helicopter?
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
Old4hats, I can never 4get kindness you and your wife extended to me when I was a Noobie and also recently at South Carolina Fall Sprawl. Y’all hosted me at your well appointed campsite with a pop up canopy, gas stove, hot coffee and excellent stories.
All us Old Pros should talk it up and post it up when a Noobie posts they are thinking of going2 Yates. Your kindness will make you a human being.
Old Pros, I’m trying to keep my post count low. Noobs will think Phantom is Yates.
Don’t feel bad if I’ve not replied to your posts. I’ve seen lots of post planning threads where the host dominated the conversation—including that Phantom dude. Can’t wait for cooler weather and to see you all again. Anyone that I’ve given my phone number is free to call me at any time. If I’m out walking, it’ll be phone tag—I will return your call!
We (collectively) are Yates
I’ll pick back and forth with y’all more after Grayson.
I was approved for thurs and Fri off.. Yay!
My son Matt makes some excellent fried rice in the wok. I am trying to press him into service to make some for us!
This will be the first time we showed up EARLY! Must finish my "magic tarp"....Forrest Forrest Gump."

I think some pulled pork may be in order. I'll rummage around and see what I can find for sales. There's some nice free range 'pork' running through my yard IMG_20200812_183745.jpg

Almost finished getting t-shirts for, contest winners, judges, and Old Pros. Thank you Old Pros!
Almost done ordering firewood.
This year half wood from El Dorado and half or more from Jeremy Shavers, who is highly recommended by Mike Lyle of Tarheel State Hangers.
We extend a hearty welcome to Tarheel State Hangers members to join us at Yates.
Are we gonna have a theme night with a potluck? I am willing to make something to bring from home. Can't really be lugging cooking stuff to the woods right now, except what I need to keep meat on Kingsfords bones.
If you don't like my cooking there's always MRE's.***Hotlips
