That has all the makings of a great stove! Cut them cans and have a "Purdy Boil"

Yooper, what is name of an alcohol stove you made?
The outside has spiral shaped grooves that don’t go all way around.
Diameter of outer can about 3 1/2 inches, height about 1 1/4 inch
Diameter of inner can about 3 inches, height about 2 1/4 inches

That stove was used by Hickery to win “Purdy Boil”

Are you still making and selling them?
    How do we buy them?

A more practical use for me, it is easier to balance my oversized mug on that diameter stove and reduces chances of tip over, followed by loud eruption of foreign tongues.

I will use your stoves at Yates. I must silence my critics and drink my coffee free of snickers, eye rolls and other cowardly acts!

I have my seasoned and dried hard fuel for my stove all split into camp stove size pieces. I gathered a bag of wood shavings and birch bark to get the flame started. We'll know in four weeks if it has a enough oomf for that purdy boil.
I was tempted to see if soaking the wood in gas would help, but I have decided to keep it natural.
It'll be some bragging rights if wood beats alcohol.
A day camping in the rain is better than a good day at work,

Shaw, you have answered the challenge. What a day for hot coffee, when cold fall air sneaks in bare feet sending chills down your spine.
I have the most modest temperament.
Shaw, my pot will boil before smoke rises from your wood stove and you will go back to cold soda pop and your Momma!

At Yates the other day, there was an unusually large number of campers.
Not sure how long they plan on camping.
I will go there again midweek to see if they are there just for weekend or longer.
There is a possibility, we may have to move Yates to another nearby location.

Recently, Shaw guided us on a three day backpacking jaunt, starting at Wood Run Trailhead Mt Gilead NC. We did the Uwharrie Trail Dutchman’s Creek figure8 loop. It is 21 miles, but we took a minor short cut near the end to camp with our friends Loki and Bob (Joyride) at Hunt Club Camp.
Shaw is fully capable of completing the full 21 mile trek in two full days. What stopped us just short of that was Phantoms short legs and tightly wound Achilles’ tendons. Shaw waited patiently for me to catch up on trail and waited even longer as I took an extra hour to drink “muh coffee” and pack up in mornings. We started at 1100am Friday. With two full days we could have finished entire 21 mile loop!
It was more fun, lollygagging and taking three days!
