    I’m doing asbestos I can
We are adding a woodstove division to our “Purdy Boil” competition. Us alcohol stove boys better be stoked, cause I’m camping in Uwharries with some guys talkin smack bout how they gonna smoke us all. I was gonna give y’all a chance and now that I’ve been insulted, I must fight fire with Fire!

Also for our knot demo, to keep it short, and knot bore y’all normies, we will focus on three knots
Siberian hitch with daisy chain or monkey braid for security
    Slipped Zeppelin bend
    Farrimond Friction hitch

I think I can get my stove pretty close to beating alcohol. I'll prepare some fast hot burning fuel to get the purdy boil in under 7 minutes. And the wood is free and cleans the forest floor.

Mustardstew, bring any food that you like to eat. Please avoid foods that are most likely to cause anyone stomach distress or food poisoning. Please guard against foods that can spoil easily. For example potato salad or deviled eggs made at home and sitting in a camp cooler for three days while ice has melted and not been replenished daily might be more likely to make someone sick. Likewise foods kept same way, but raw and then cooked Saturday can be a serious problem. There is a Food Lion in Troy not too far away, that would be good for foods that have a high risk of spoiling. Those kinds of foods can be got midday Saturday.
Use your own common sense and best judgement, as I hope we will all do.

Probably best not to bring too much food. Lots of food goes uneaten due to massive volume.

I’m sure you will do great and you will have a good time.
Ask your fellow hammockers about their rigs—we all like to talk about our gear.
We have a Tour of Hammocks Saturday morning after chow and coffee.

A few drink adult beverages around campfire at night. We want everyone to have a good time, while we do not allow drunkenness. And just as many don’t drink any or have just one drink as someone getting ready to sing or tell great stories.

    Welcome aboard, sir!

Ok wood stovers, who thinks they have a stove that can be the alcohols? Get the right fuel to air mixture and I think there can be some close competition.
I have some wood prepping to do. I need to come up with a faster light up time.

@Mustard Stew and @PG,,, It ain't no joke about making sure food is free of spoilage or contamination. I had a not great time at the John Rock Hang eating from contaminated utensils left in my car that I thought were clean.

Mustard Stew,, Bring what you want or bring nothing but yourself. No one is going to turn you away, there will be enough pot luck. There is no sign up sheet like some hangs. It's a lot more organic. If it's your first hang just come and get a feel for things. Next hang you go to channel your inner Q' Shack or whatever.

This is a good time to check out different setups before you sink money into anything. Ask, don't be shy if you need to borrow suspension or a tarp some people are willing to help. I have extra hammocks, suspension and tarps I can bring. PM if you need something.
