I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

The tradition is hotdogs and chilli, no mention of corn cobs now.

Carter, you can’t sleep in my hammock with me this time.
I mean if we sleep head to toe, that's 6 feet...

Well, my gear is packed, tank is full of gas, and bad news comes. A couple of people close to us have been tested positive for COVID-19. So even though I have no symptoms, out of respect for my fellow campers I will not come to the John Rock hang. This would have been my first hike in hang in a few years. Remember me when you sit around the camp fire , especially at tall tale time.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

Old4hats, since you won’t be packing in my cast iron fry pan, dutch oven and whatnot, I’ll have to get Need2noCallahan and Mooseman to hold up your end. I’m sure they will be glad to step up, to help the handicapped.

I’ve been thinking of entering one of those 96 ounce steakhouse challenges. I’ll wear mismatched clothes, coke bottle eyeglasses with a pirates eye patch. Topping this off with a red tipped white cane and my trusty seeing eye dog.
We should be able to finish this off in 90 seconds, especially if she brings her puppies.

Old4hats, I’ll see you soon, your old friend, Phantom
