Down Filling - UK

Good Afternoon All,

I am currently trying to find where to purchase 850fp goose down for some DIY quilts but struggling to find anywhere in the UK. Looking for 2lbs

I'd rather not ship from America due to taxes etc.

Has anyone had experience getting hold of it previously?

You can buy down from https://www.extremtextil.de/ Not UK but at least in Europe. I have not dealt with them myself though so can't vouch for the quality but I think many others on here have.

You can get 200gram packs of 900fill goose down on Amazon uk
Cost me £30.0 It's more expensive now than last year but it's there.

Hmmm, I don't believe the 900 fill power either, unless it's live plucked, in which case I'm not interested. It's frustrating that good MYOG materials seem to be hard to obtain in the UK.

Tell me about it, I'm really struggling to find pretty much all the materials I need for quilts! Have you anywhere you can reccomend for the shell material, I have found Nylon Ripstop in the UK but the supplier is unsure whether it is downproof.

You really need to know which standard was used to get the fill figure.
Although even with the US system, absolutely top quality level and you've no real way of verifying their claim of 900.
