Thank you for the images and I am glad to see you are back.

I raised three kids, two girls and a male. My son and I hiked the PCT when he was young and did not know to comment on the time spent on the trail. My youngest (IronFish77) is an avid camper however, responsibility and relationship have cut down on her trail time. My eldest daughter is NOT a camper or anything to do with outdoors, even Glam Camping is not an option.

Enjoy your son, continue to take lots of images, time changes so many things, photo's serve to help us remember. I still recall trips with my dad the best trips were just the two of us. I still remember going through Yellowstone Park, my dad looked all around and stepped out of our car...all the sudden my dad jumped back into the car, slammed the door shut...a big bear was standing on the snowbank that was even with the top of our vehicle...bear stepped off the snowbank onto the top of our car. Very exciting still remember it like it was yesterday, my dad died in his early 40's so our time together was short, I am extra thankful positive memories that have lasted me for a life time. Savor every opportunity with your child.

Ah that’s some good stuff. Great stories and insight.

    Yes campfires.
Quick like sand through the fingers.
    Sweet as sweet

I like hearing about those stories. I like experiencing what I get to do. Can’t wait till we can hit the trail again.

Pretty cool & great pics too.

Special moments for sure on a father & son outing. Some of my best memories are of my dad & I being out on the trail together. I'm sure that'll be an adventure he'll never forget & hopefully not his last.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Benson Burner,

Congrats on making the time to spend with your son while he’s still young. Those days fly past more quickly than you realize.

And I’ll add to the chorus of praise for the stool too. Pretty Boss bushwhacking skills.

Thank you. We were considering making bunk beds this time but I would have to bring a hammock for back up and to qualify to post here. Hahahaha.

I hope so to, and thank you. He did ask (and received) for a bunch of backpacking stuff for his recent birthday. Yes to be his age again, man. Thank you. More to come.

Great pics, thanks for sharing.I was about his age(six actually)when we took our first family camping trip which included an old two door Buick coupe and the family dog to the woods next to a pond with a rowboat.

My life was changed forever as a result.
