    Foot hurts after a night

I'm using 2.2oz Hex70 and recently woke up with a blister-like sensation on the foot that was making contact with the side of the hammock all night. Has anyone experienced this? There's nothing visible to indicate irritation. I've slept barefoot in this hammock before and didn't get the blistered heel feeling.

Just for info, are you by chance a diabetic or do you have neuropathy in your feet? If you slept soundly and didn't move, and have any type of foot issues, there is a chance that it is similar to the beginning of a pressure sore. Just a thought from someone who sees that kind of thing often

Sometimes if I don't have it set up right I'll get some pressure on my heel and it sort of has that "fell asleep" feeling if I don't move for a long time. Usually an indication my foot end suspension isn't hung high enough.

I'm not diabetic or have neuropathy but on that same foot I have had a pressure blister on a toe from standing on concrete for long shifts. It didn't hurt at all though. Though now that I think about it that same toe was recently sprained so I guess there's a possibility I've been babying it.

I always use a slightly deflated Thermarest sit-pad under my feet in of the footbox of my TQ. Pads my heels and sore feet.

A wide hammock, five and a half feet and up to six feet wide, can help avoid pressure on foot causing ankle to bend inward, on your foot that is closest to side.
Lots of hammocks that are “five feet wide” are actually four feet ten inches wide...after removing edge fabric and hemming edge.
Your discomfort can be from a combination of several things.
Try different ideas until one wins
    Shoot til you win...Good Luck!

Was it a pressure blister, or Chilblains?
I regularly get them on some of my toes if my feet get cold. They don't even have to be freezing, just chilly.
They can be quite painful, or just uncomfortable and have the feel like the swelling you get with a deep blister.

Ive put a pair of heat holder socks in with my hammock for lounging.
