I'm getting more tempted by uncoated ripstop and treating it with white spirits and silicone.
It's cheaper per metre and available from more places who offer free postage or royal mail. So the overall cost difference is substantial.

Theres a sticky DIY thread for make your on sil and I've previously treated my old tent floor and some cycling overshoes.

Now that's an interesting idea! I'll seek out the thread. I was tempted to take a punt on some from Alibaba as most of the fabric industry is in Asia but don't really want to order 200 meters to find out it's crap. I could get a sample but I don't own any silpoly so have no reference point to compare with.

I'm really surprised that www.extremtextil.de do not carry sil-poly but they confirmed to me in a very recent email that .. "We always looking for a good silpoly, but at the moment we don't have one in our range of goods."
According to reddit, they're really legit. I hope so as I'm from Slovenia and having a local shop sounds perfect.

I just ordered around 20 meters of different fabrics from adventurexpert, and from my experience they are great. Made a large hammock out of 4 meters of 75d polyester fabric, and snakeskin for another hammock and underquilt from some 10d shiny fabric I bought, as they had a sale on it.
Also communicated through email with them, and they were really helpful and straight forward.IMG_20210606_212406.jpg
