Question Dutch, do you really believe this ?

Clark hammocks insulation, taken from Dutch's website:

'The Z-Liner is made from quality CLIMASHIELD APEX insulation. Engineered for maximum loft per unit weight, CLIMASHIELD APEX is the perfect choice when you demand performance driven comfort that delivers superior thermal efficiency, resilient loft and durability. We believe this synthetic insulation is the ideal choice for a camping hammock since it is placed in an area that can potentially get wet from rain blowing under the tarp or splashing from the ground in torrential rain.'

Maybe time for an update ? Maybe not ?

Why not having George at Locolibre taking care of the underquilts for your Clark hammocks? I think if there are competition resentments among people who do quality gear, they should be overcome.

Not sure why you would think we have some sort of difference - I buy quite a bit of fabric from Dutch and we are friends.

Seems to be a personal debate of climasheild vs. Down on your part. If Clark uses apex and you want down, don't buy a clark. Seriously, what are you on about? Dutch doesn't make choices for the buyers, and offers anything you could want.

Rouskof, I'm, not sure I understand what your issue is? You don't like Dutchware offering gear made with Climashield?

Now that made me spit out my coffee.

In England, near Sherwood forest where I live, it is constantly over 80 percent humidity and raining, down performs absolutely terribly and I outfit my gear accordingly - so I can understand completely what this is saying.
