    European Under Quilt

    Good afternoon !

From what a saw on internet, in North America, it's very common to do hammock camping! In Europe isn't very developed unfortunately.
I just come back from a trek of few days in the mountains and I realize that "the pads" for bottom insulation isn't for me. It's very difficult to find the good position and it takes a lot of time to adjust.
I would like to try the Under Quilt solution. Unfortunately it seems that in Europe we have very poor choices..

Maybe someone here in Europe have a good brand to propose ?

    Thanks in advance :))

Yes, Cumulus quilts are fine products. I have both a Cumulus underquilt and a quilt (not their Taiga topquilt, but from the Quilt line), and a love both! Very comfortable, light, and warm.

Just the loop on webbing or carabiner? Why another useless hardware?

I have the Selva 250 underquilt. I've only done three nights with it so far (see my Mid-Wales trip report) so still getting to know how best to fit it - with it being summer at the moment being absolutely accurate isn't that important. I've also got the 150 quilt and my wife has the 350 quilt - all top quality products.

For attaching I use a mini-carabiner but you could also use an S-biner - the underquilt isn't heavy so you don't need a climbing rated carabiner.

I think Warbonnet may have some distribution in the EU (maybe just the UK), send them an email.

I’ve yet to try their UQ but will be soon as a summer solution, but I do have a 167gsm(5oz) apex top quilt (their simplite model) from GramXpert https://www.gramxpert.eu/ and it’s a very lightweight and well made quilt.
Synthetic may not be what you’re seeking but it’s a European option at least.
