Question Most Breathable Hammock for everyday use?

    Hello all!

I am new to the hammock world but am looking to start sleeping in a hammock at home instead of a bed. I was wondering what the most breathable hammock out there is so that I wont get to hot this summer. I should also mention I am 6'5 and just under 300lbs

And if you have any other tips for everyday hammock use let me know.

All hammocks are cooler than beds, but for breathability specifically cotton beats nylon like virtually all of the camping hammocks most people on these forums use. There’s a reason high-end bedding is cotton instead of synthetic fibers. At your height I’d suggest a hammock 13’ or over, like https://www.lasiesta.com/us/en/colle...ammock-flh18-6 .

You’ll still want an underquilt whenever overnight indoor low is below about 70F. Doesn’t need to have features attractive for camping like lightweight, packable, water resistant etc.

    Full-time hanger since 2013.

Cotton for sure. I recently switched from a synthetic to cotton hat for golfing and it's so much cooler.

I love my cotton Brazilian hammock. It breathes, is comfy, and doesn’t make that”swoosh” sound when you move around. It’s not slippery like a camping hammock.
