WBRR with new trekker fx poles

Has anyone tested the new mountainsmith trekker lite poles as spreader bars? I've been using the older "twist lock" ones with great success for years. Wanted to add another set as my hammock inventory grows and saw the new poles are a "flick lock" which raised some questions. I didnt see any posts on these so it left me curious.

I use them, they work very nicely. Haven't had to insert a wooden dowel like I've seen suggested. I weight 145lbs.

I have a set and have used them before. I'm over 250 lbs and the head end pole will slip several inches overnight. I've added a short length of wood dowel to keep them from slipping.

I do not have these poles. However, the flick-lock styles of all trekking poles utilize a cam-actuated clamp with tension adjusted by tightening or loosening a little screw or—more likely nowadays—a finger-adjustable bolt. In 99.99% of instances of slippage with flick-locks, it can be addressed very simply by tightening the screw or bolt a very small amount. And there's no need to really crank it down and risk breaking the screw or stripping the bolt... a "just so" moderate amount of tension will work fine.
