Jonny From England near Sherwood Forest

Hi guys, my first post so hoping it goes through! Just wanted to say that this forum and Shug in particular, have been such an immense help to me over the past year, I'm in Nottinghamshire, England and a couple hours hike from Sherwood Forest, finally got a nice long hammock with a structural ridgeline I can lay diagonally in after only using DD for a year. It's thanks to Americans that I know about leave no trace and modern, non banana hammocks and I'm grateful for that. I spend almost every weekend wild camping either in ancient woodlands or Sherwood forest and I also travel to a place we have called the Peak District which is just stunning, rolling hills and cold fresh streams and rivers bursting from the cliffs. Getting into this life had helped me to destroy my alcoholism mostly because I have no money from buying hammocks and tarps lol. Anyways just wanted to introduce myself and hope this is the correct thread and that it's allowed. Thanks again everyone! By the way I'm 6'6 almost and 108kg so about 200lb and I'm always fighting to get my load out lighter while still having things be comfortable for a big lad like me.

As a Brit, I've been to Nottingham and Sherwood Forest - you live in a very nice hang area. Actually I wanted to hang off that massive old oak there with the really long branches (and enjoy a MM Meatpie for breakfast!!)

Well come to HF. The Sherwood Forest of lore! Alcohol, except my stove, and chewing tobacco free since 1981 and drug free for a heck of a lot longer; When Jesus became my high. The Peak District sounds stunning.
