If it's Silnylon, use something like Silnet.

That's a good question. If it is Spinn....not sure if Silnet stuff will stick to that or not. Anybody......????

Hey PS,
That is a great looking tarp you have. Currently I use the stock Hennessy with my Ultralight Backpacker A-Sym. I'm thinking about getting a larger tarp for my hammock This is one of the ones I'm looking at. Did you go with the Spinn or Sil-nylon ?
If your using the Aluminum .344 dia. Nanolites, I don't think it will matter where the pole connection point is. I'd guess the insert sleeve in the pole would make the pole stronger so not a problem if it lands at the ridgeline.
That said, I've thought about attaching a small ring at that point to attach things to the pole, rather than my tarp ridgeline.

Wow. What an awesome idea!
I've seen a lot of tents where the pole ends slip into a ring in a strap, rather than into a "polepocket." Might make it a little easier to pitch. You could even have a buckle on one side so you could tension the strap up after the poles are inserted.
This looks like a new trend in tarp mods.

Anybody have photos of the pole mod done to a tarp with sewn in doors?
