New guy, new hanger - big thank you to this community!

New guy here from NW Montana.

I'm a new hanger and just wanted to say thanks to this community! I have been reading this forum for maybe a month or so and am learning so much! Especially a huge thanks to Shug... who may not realize it, but is is a basically a honorary member of my household at this point as I have watched literally almost every video in the last month and a half... even my wife and kids know who he is :-)

I jumped into hammocking this year... maybe partially due to wanting to do something new with all the shutdowns recently... but have spent a few nights in my new warbonnet XLC setup and am loving it :-) I usually go whole hog when I get in to something new once I know I'll enjoy it.

Couple honorary pics of my long holiday weekend setups:

waking up to a herd of deer... definitely special to see them first thing and just hang there and watch :-)

Congratulations on the new hobby and a successful hang. This is definitely a great community and one of the reasons I enjoy hanging so much is just to try out ideas I see here. You have been properly assimilated.

Totally agree how helpful and useful HF is. Another Montanan here. Raised in Helena, went to college in the Zoola. Worked on the Flathead in the seventies. Then onward to working all over the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem with our home in Bozeman. Now I live in the Bitterroot. Many fond memories of Kalispell and the surrounding landscape.
