Training yourself to flip your lay?

I've always been a left lay-er, however I thought that when my new XLC comes, that I might try to adapt to a right lay. The reason is that I want to get a Wooki, but due to the cost of a quilt, I'd want to pick one up in a sale. Custom quilts are never on sale though, so if I want to get a left lay quilt, I'll have to pay full price. Has anyone ever successfully gotten used to a flipped lay?

Yes. I used to believe that lay direction preference was immutable like being left or right handed. I now see it as purely a matter of habit. It takes about 2 weeks to break a habit (that isn't an addiction anyway). I can now lay either way just fine.

No, to save $25 plus 20% of the cost of the quilt (the usual discount in a sale), so more like $65+.

Stay left and you’ll always be right.

I still find it weird that lay direction is defined by foot location and not head.

I could never sleep on my back...until I "made" myself do it in a hammock. Was way easy too. I barely move move nights, which is a big deal compared to in my bed.

I switched my lay just to see if I could (recently) - no problem. That said, for that kind of $$$ I'd try to sell something to make up the diff - just in case the switch didn't work out.
