    Serious decision fatigue

I'm going to buy a hammock during the memorial day sale, but I'm at a deadlock on the Blackbird XLC or the El Dorado.

I like the simplicity and price of the El Dorado, and obviously the shelf of the Blackbird ...

it seems like anyone who owns a warbonnet is happy with whichever one they have so there can't be a wrong choice. I guess I'll just buy whichever one I wake up thinking about in the morning!

Same boat but I carry a long ways so weight usually wins out.

If you're comparing the Eldorado with the original Blackbird, keep in mind the BB is a shorter hammock and doesn't have the ability to reverse the lay direction by flipping the net.

I love having the shelf, especially since I only use this bugnet hammock when the bugs are definitely out. So I don't want to be opening and closing the net to get stuff from outside.

Otherwise, I don't miss the shelf too much since I can just throw stuff on the ground or on a stool when using a netless hammock most of the year.

I hear you. I'm leaning to the eldorado anyway...

Just get the BB with all the goodies and you'll have all the goodies. If you already had a specific need for minimalism and lightness, you would already know that and would not have bothered to ask.

Why the BB instead of the BB XLC? Or, just get the Eldorado and pick up the BB XLC net top at a later date if you really want the shelf?

If it’s between these two.. I say El Dorado. I think the extra length gives more of a sweet spot.
That said I love my double layer XLC but find myself getting another hammock to reduce weight.
