Fellow stay-at-homers... I desperately need some feedback so I can hang my hammock indoors. There is 15 feet of space and I can secure the two "potential" boards on either exterior or interior walls of a two-store brick house. Instead of hammock anchors, I was thinking about using the 1" buckle set that I removed from my older WBBB Original when I went to whoopie slings and they got me thinking....
My goal is to hang indoors at a svelte 250 pounds.
Can I use these same buckles secured behind a 2x4 with a small hole drilled out in order to attach my newly acquired WBBB XLC?
My main points of contention are:
1. What type of bolt or screw, including the length and size should I use?
2. Will the buckles when splayed out in opposite directions between the wall and 2x4 deform or create a hole in the drywall? Should I secure these buckles to the back of the board?
Thanks and I look forward to your ideas and thoughts!
