    Permethrin Spray Inside Hammock

When spraying my hammock with permethrin, should I spray everywhere, inside and out i.e. both sides?

Hey! Welcome to the forum! I'm from Norfolk too! But in Virginia. To get to your question, I spray mine on the outside. It usually soaks in. If you have a bugnet, spray that too. You can also make up solution and soak items in bucket. Just use gloves since it's not good on skin. Once dried it's ok on hammock and gear. Down here in Florida, the humidity sometimes takes it a while to dry. Hope this helps answer question.

Personally I don't spray my hammock. The bug net & underquilt keep the bugs away from me. Or maybe I haven't encountered bugs bad enough to spray it yet.

Thanks. I haven't found a source of a solution to soak items in the UK. I think concentrate is possibly illegal over here. We only have the 5% spray. I'll spray the outside like you said.

I camp where there are a lot of deer, and consequently lots of ticks. I'm doing what I can to avoid lymes disease. (Long clothing, inspection before getting in hammock etc., as well as the chemical approach).

Ugh ticks. Hate those suckers. I do spray my clothes for that reason.
