The XLC/Eldorado is also a 62" wide hammock body compared to the 58" Chameleon. That makes the difference for me. I can sleep in either, but the XLC is more comfortable as long as it's strung right. It is a little more finicky than some other GEs, it seems like.

FWIW, I just took advantage of the WB sale and bought an Eldorado. Can't wait to get it and try it out. From everything I have read and seen, you wouldn't go wrong with the Eldorado.

What color did you get? I'm getting the dark red Dream-Tex, just to change things up from my usual green and blue hues.

I hear ya. On my XLC I have to set the foot end about 18" higher than the head end (at the tree) and slide as far toward the head end as I can to avoid the calf ridge. Maybe I should have ordered the wide chameleon?

I ordered the Dark Foilage Green single layer. Dark green camping fabrics are my safe place I guess haha. Comes from 7 years in the Army.

The Chameleon wide is 67” maybe that is also an option? I wish they were on sale. Intrigued by the ability to have a net covering 2.

That's the color of my Ridgerunner...very interesting color. It's shows as truly green in sunlight, otherwise it's a deep bluish gray green to my eyes. I really like it FWIW.

I have a Wide Chameleon and an XLC. I find the Chameleon a bit more roomy to shift around in but both are very comfy. I set my head end at waist height, then the foot end at my chest height and im pretty much spot on for set up.

For a new WB gear user (me), that seems like good advice. Thank you!

Received my Eldorado last week (had to be shipped up to Canada) and played around with it / slept in it one night. It's on its way back to Warbonnet. Beautifully crafted piece of gear, mostly comfortable for me. I really liked the footbox and how the bug net tieout system guarantees you have no bug net in your face.

But it wasn't as comfortable as the SLD Trail Lair that I ordered at the same time. And I missed the quilt hooks to keep my HG Incubator in its proper place. As FLTurtle said earlier -- "Sometimes, you just gotta try it."
