How does the setup look (VIDEO)

Wasn't sure where to post this so I settled here. Here is a short video of my first setup with my tarp. I am looking for feedback on what to change or improve to make my setup better. This setup is 15' apart, 40" from the gathered end to the "tree", 6' on the head end and 6'6" on the feet end.

Thanks is advance for the help,

This looks like a good setup to me and your height numbers and ridge line tension are the same as mine. Don't forget these measurements are on level ground and will change when hanging/ camping in the wild and your best test is the 30* angle check, as you do. and foot end slightly elevated. You should be very comfortable. Just out of curiosity what weight/ height are you ?

    1. I am 5'9" about 190
    2. It's comfortable. The best part about setting up gear for practice is the included nap
    3 It's an 11' standard from HG

My biggest concerns are how to handle trees at different widths with different ground elevations and making sure rain doesn't soak my gear. I'm thinking of ditching the CRL for fixed lines. I am thinking I will able to pull the tarp more strait thus making it longer for more protection.

    JH,

Nice set up. You got it pretty much dialed in.

You may wish to get a bigger or longer tarp say the HG Journey at 12 feet, just for the added coverage. The tarp you have, covers you just fine, for the vast majority, of weather conditions.

I couldnt see in the video if you put a twist in your suspension straps. I do this to shed any water coming down the suspension and onto the hammock.

    Have fun.
