Haha. Maybe I should just say my wife hasn’t bought into the idea then. I’m for it, her not so much.

    For a counter argument:

I really enjoy sleeping in my hammock. The problem is, I’m a VERY light sleeper. By that I do t mean I can’t get to sleep on a regular basis, but I do wake up several times a nigh and move around.

If I only occasionally sleep in a hammock, I don’t sleep very well. It’s usually the second or third night that I fall into a decent cycle with a hammock.

According to my Garmin, I do reach deep sleep for a longer period in a hammock, but that’s not saying much since my deep sleep is usually under 30 minutes anyhow.

I am curious if there would be much of a change after a week in the hammock exclusively.

Considering how many mattress companies advertise how little one sleeper disturbs the other, well: can’t beat being separate in a hammock. Without going into your routine, what’s wrong with keeping the bed for sex and cuddling, but when it’s time to sleep, the hammock is right there? Depending on room layout you can even hang the hammock to be inches above where you’d be on the bed, hold hands with her on the bed.

Took me about 2 weeks solid before hammock felt truly normal. Beware: then bed feels weird or worse, to the extent that traveling without hammock is an issue. I had to invent a portable stand. Full time since 2013.
