    Under-quilt & Sleep Pad ??

So i have a Kylmit Static V sleep pad and just recently went camping. Night went to about 6 or 7 Celcius. I was warm, just some cold spots when i would roll over or have my arm or feet against hammock. But i find the sleep pad very comfortable. I'm thinking of perhaps adding an under quilt so i have no cold spots, but keeping pad so it is comfortable and no knee, calf issues.

Is this overkill? What type of quilt should i get that could be used from say 6 or 7 celsius to 23 celsius along with my pad?

If that's your lower limit, you'd be looking at a 1 season summer quilt, 0°C/40°F. In colder weather you'll be pushing it. -6°C/20°F is considered you 3 season, spring/summer/fall quilt. - 17°C/0°F is your winter quilt.

Generally, if you only were going to have one quilt. Most people get a 3 season and supplement with a pad in the colder temps. In the summer you'd still use your three season, but bring a lighter top quilt.

Other people have one quilt for each occasion.

You could make an SPE http://www.tothewoods.net/HomemadeGearSPEZipper.phpor get an ENO HotSpot https://www.gearbuyer.com/products/e..._enhancer.html to go around your pad to keep your arms protected.

I feel like that would be too restrictive

It isn't really. I made one in my early hammock days when I used a pad. See it a 4:42 in video below.
Added thigh sections to mine as well. Kept my arms, thighs warm and made it easier to wrangle the pad.
Of course a UQ is the best!

Instead of a pad I take a cheap Costco quilt and added extra little loops so I can fold it in half lengthwise and then snap it in between my main under quilt and my hammock when it's getting extra cold... weighs less than a pound and gets you down to zero to 10°

I have the same pad (assuming yours is insulated) that I use in my bridge hammock because it makes it remarkably comfortable for my preferences. I use a DIY bag pump to inflate so I don’t get the insulation damp. I augment the pad in winter/shoulder seasons with a thin sheepskin on top (also helps with the clammy feeling you get on a pad whilst in a hammock) and/or an underquilt. I also tuck a folding CCF pad under my shoulders/elbows to stop the cold spots that sometimes creep in there. That seems to get me down to the same temps I can get with just the pad while on the ground.
