I rotate between my Superfly, Thunderfly and Mamajamba. In the past couple years I probably used the Thunderfly 90% of the time. The SF gets no love anymore because I hot tent in the winter, and even have an SLD Winterhaven if I were to winter camp with a tarp. So the SF is basically only for stormy weather.

But I'm glad I took it on my last trip to Grand Island. I literally had 30mph sustained winds the first 36 hours right off Lake Superior. Maybe stronger gusts but it didn't matter. In my camp it was reduced a bit, but still very windy. Closing those doors made all the difference.

It's nice to have options based on the weather.
