I have been using my Econ Burrow 20d with a cinch cord for a couple of years now and never even notice the cord except when I use it to cinch up. I find it makes a notable difference in staying warm.

on your honey do list?
I just finished my DIY topquilt, and I put the cinch in the middle. 50% because I wanted to see if I could do it, and 50% because I was intrigued by how much I'd like it. So far (I've only laid in it once, and decided that I need to be outside at least before I get in it again), I really like it. I think if the shock cord was going to be against my bare skin I would hate it. Otherwise, it's good.
Bothers the crap out of me.
I wouldn't go without it, but I sure would prefer if it were on one or both corners instead if in the center.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

I have an old UGQ custom quilt with the cinch in the middle. There are times when it bothers me but as others said it's easy enough to tuck it in and forget about it.
Really, I wouldn't have it anywhere other than the center of the quilt. That's where, at least for me, is easiest to work with both hands. Also, my quilt snaps together at the upper corners to keep it tucked under my shoulders. I only use this feature on the coldest nights (it makes a huge difference in warmth) but if the cinch were anywhere else it would be VERY hard to operate.

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
Hi
I did order it with cinch, but asked them if they could somehow put a flap over it like a little pocket so I could tuck chord in it, but HG said that would prove very awkward to do, anyway I will get used to it I hope

Got my TQ pleased as punch with it, and in practice cinch cord not a problem for me
Excellent!
