Are there no clothing and rope stores in Ecuador? Making a simple gatherend hammock is pretty dam easy.

These folks are good people, some deals maybe? Or at least they may point you in the direction of fabrics. The technical fabrics are limited but there is stuff out there.

There are some sweet AirBnB places for $30/night just outside of Quito, southeast of you. Sleep in a rustic tent/glamping setup with hammocks.

Airfreight was looking like $100/US for 5lbs but I didn't go thru the whole Vat tax thing completely.
I know the National Post is shutdown so Fedex, DHL or the like are the only options.

Possible hand delivery in early June pending covid status.
