Question Anyone own a Liteway Equipment Sleeper Quilt Apex 167? Or anything from liteaway?

    Hey H-hangers

Long time skulker and first time posting

I looking for my first top quilt after using a sleeping bag for last 6 years, feeling like maybe half my backpack should store food and not my ancient sleeping bag that is bulkier then roided body builder

I really wanna keep my purchase inside EU or Scandinavia for import tax reasons (also buying locally thing) and this top quilt has all the features I wanted except the fact it turns into a poncho

Maybe a good feature for me as I do canoe trips and can bring with me many luxurious things like multiple beers that for some reason I need to wake up in the middle of the night to pee

Seriously I know I am getting older but at home I never wake up middle of night after couple beers to pee?

    Is this a hammock thing?
I thought my lay was airtight but maybe all the pressure is on my bladder?!?! Do I need a Ridge runner hammock for my alcoholic camping trips?

Anyway I am off topic but also not because that head hole could as well be a pee-pee hole

But anyone have experience with this quilt or maybe recommend one that has a footbox zippered or drawcord and isn't a HG, Warbonnet or any other I need to order from USA?

There is also a down fill version of the one I named in title but both that one and this synthetic one that are in the temperature ranged are sold out sadly

    https://liteway.equipment/sleeper-quilt-apex-167 - synthetic

    https://liteway.equipment/Sleeper-Quilt-750fp - down

I got a snugpak underquilt that is pretty bulky and heavy but really cheap compared to everything on the market but would be nice to spend some more on TQ to start shrinking down my pack size

Any recommendations would be fantastic like some name drops because it's impossible to google "top quilt" in Sweden as nearly all are just listed as "sleeping bag"

Thanks for reading and maybe replying with some witty bander or life changing advices .. or just to **** over my snugpak!

Dont you dare! It's not fat but just big boned!!

    And heavy

Not going to be much help with the quilt thing, but as to your other question....

Sleeping in a hammock makes me tend to get up more to water the trees as well. You and I are actually in a large company.

Walking or otherwise being in your feet all day makes your feet and legs swell. Most of the time, at least in a gathered end hammock, your legs are elevated above your heart somewhat. Gravity doing what it does, the fluid makes its way more easily and quickly to your kidneys and the bladder fills up. I think of this as one of the benefits of hammocking, prepping my feet for the next day's hike.

I try to enjoy those moments and spend a few minutes looking at the night- time woods.

Another issue that may contribute to nocturnal trips is being cold. As your body restricts blood flow to your extremities it increases flow to your core, including the kidneys, leading to increased urine production. So if you wake up to water the trees it pays to consider your warmth and make adjustments as needed.
