    Butcher one for the down, to extra fill two, giving you a standard one and two extra filled ones.
    With the throws' sewn-through design, I think there's a bit of diminishing return (and someone else can correct me) to overstuff the throws much since they can only loft so high. I suppose I could look into the faux baffles I've seen touted in other threads. I'm also trying to make the sewing as simple as possible.

    You are correct about the overstuffing - Not much value to be had.

    The faux baffles are tedious and reduce width, but "baffles is baffles"! They will work.

    I don't need the width, more just the length. I'm 6'4" and about 180. Maybe I'll look into it and see. Given how little down seems to be in one throw, do the faux baffles really make it warmer? Or just "baffle-i-er"?

    They add warmth because the quilt now lacks sewn-thru spots for air to seep.
