I know when I used to do a lot of stuff around Zodiac Inflatables and RHIBs, we used to spray UV protectant spray on them. It was kind of like Armorall. I wonder if something like that would work on amsteel and prolong it's direct sun life? A quick Google search shows there are multiple choices: LINK
Would be pretty cool if that was a way you could use some amsteel, and have it last for years. Plus it would work on various other things that may get a lot of direct sunlight too.

I’d say heavy duty chain down to a amsteel loop larksheaded then caribiner
Or no amsteel loop and caribiner direct to chain - easy on easy off

My screened in porch always has a hammock hanging. I change it out as the weather changes. For me standard 12' tree straps is all I have ever needed.

Perhaps a steel cable (such as used for dog tie outs, or sailboat mast stays) would be less obtrusive than chain. Some even have a colored plastic coating.

I had Amsteel outside year round for 3+ years and it was still in good condition when I took it down.

My vote would go to stainless cable dogbone, then Amsteel. Curious how mule tape would hold up.. you could die it make it less conspicuous.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

I have replaced my wife's cotton (crap) cloths lines with 7/64 amsteel UCR's @ 22' long.each. They are over 3 yrs old and show no signs of wear. When the granddaughters visit and we "camp out" in the back yard, the clothes line becomes a tarp ridge line- all I have to add is a couple of evo loops prussicked on the RL for the tarp. Smoore time.

I'd learn some good knots and use sailing line rope.
