I'm looking to put up a hammock under a covered porch. The connection points are too high to reach. I want to install either rope or chain to hang down low enough that i can take a hammock and clip the ends on with caribiners.
What sort of suspension materials can be used for long-term outdoor use? They need to be:
- UV resistant
- Low-stretch
- Not ugly (that is: preferably not chain)
- Working load strong enough to hold a hammock, obviously.
Initial research indicates 1/2" polyester might be a good option.
Thoughts?
