Superfly or Mountainfly

Watched enough videos and went ahead and ordered a Superfly, and the poles for the panel pulls.

I think I have decided on the Superfly and the outside pole mod. I watched a few videos and it really looked like it opened it up on the inside. Thanks for all the input.

Who knows at what orientation the attached photo will load, but here's a view of my Warbonnet Ridgerunner underneath a Superfly with external pole mods deployed. Makes a BIG difference in my opinion...well worth the weight penalty if that's something you factor into the equation.Apr 30 SF with ext pole mod.jpg

Good call. Since you have a smaller one, get the superfly. Covers you for winter and really bad weather.

I am looking for a new tarp for winter camping. I mainly camp in Kentucky so the lowest I have had my current setup would be about 10 degrees. I have a Warbonnet Minifly but would like something with a little bit more of a door but not sure I need the full doors of the Superfly. Does anyone have both? Would the Thunderfly be enough if you pitched it low for cold weather camping?

I love my Old Man Winter tarp with 12' ridgeline for my WB ridgerunner. I can almost get the doors fully closed for winter or high winds. If I were looking I'd look at the Moutainfly also.

11 foot. I didn’t see the need for the extra length and weight but I did think about a 12 foot but be used to get the 11 foot one.
