Any reason they are at an angle vs 90 vertical?

No not in particular. I guess if I had a reason most all of my modular hammock stands the poles are always at an angle so why not do it with the post. I guess another reason would be since we have sand for dirt it wouldnt bow as much

I have my wife and 3 boys. The two oldest and I were camping out in the back yard for most of the mandatory stay at home order. Now that the gov of florida opened up barbershops again I'm not going to get to camp with them as much since I get home around 10 at night.
